The Nelson Social Dancing Clubs 50th Anniversary. We will be celebrating 50 years of achievement fun, cooperation, dancing, friendship, music and dedication from committees and members.

In 1974 members of the then International Welcome Club decided, after visits to several social events, to introduce a regular monthly dance which they called the '$1 dance'. This arrangement was a subsidiary of the International Welcome Club. Fast forward a number of years and it became the Nelson Social Dance club, our guest speakers will with humour and great recall tell you how that came about.

We invite current and past members to join us at this fully subsidised event.

If you have never been a member you can still come along for just $20.

The celebration will begin with an afternoon tea at 3.00pm with speeches and cake cutting.
Followed by a Tea Dance 4.30pm to 8.00pm.
6.00pm to 6.30pm is a light finger food tea.
