Your guide to events in Nelson, New Zealand
Saturday 1st June 2013
A Ceili (traditional Irish dance) is from the Irish (and Scots) Gaelic word for a gathering or a dance.
Ceol Aneas is pronounced (kee-ol an-ass) and is Irish Gaelic for Music (Ceol) of the South.
As part of the Ceol Aneas Irish Festival weekend, a Ceili will be held with live traditional Irish music provided by Ceol Aneas tutors and students.
The dances will be called and you will be able to learn as you go. This is dancing at its best - a fun filled community activity and great exercise too.
Come on your own (you don't need a partner to join in) or bring your friends, family and children for a rousing good time.
Everyone is welcome.
(Note change of Ceili venue from Trafalgar Street Hall as was previously advertised)
