Junior, youth and senior dinghy sailors from across the Nelson Marlborough region are invited to compete and the regatta is open to all dinghy classes with starts for the popular Optimist (green and open fleets), P Class, Starling and Laser (4.7, Radial and Standard) as well as any other classes with three or more boats. An open class will also be provided. Please contact the Nelson Yacht Club for a Notice of Race.

One of the best locations for spectators to view the yachts and competitors will be from the Nelson waterfront as the boats head out the Cut late morning and return late afternoon each day of the regatta. Take a walk up the hill to see them racing outside the boulder bank in Tasman Bay. You can get up close to the yachts as well when they launch at the Nelson Yacht Club
