Meeting Point: Meet at Café Affair, Trafalgar St, Nelson City, 10am Saturday 20th Oct.

Times: 10am Saturday 20th Oct. Riding times about 5-6hrs per day. Finish Café Affair Sunday 21st Oct about 5pm.

Guided overnight mountainbike ride for serious mountainbikers, taking in amazing terrain & scenery in the Richmond ranges. Ride 3hrs up New Zealand’s best uphill, Dun Mountain railway, to Coppermine saddle. Push 30mins up to Dun Saddle. Take in the view, before descending 1hr down technical single track to Rocks Hut. Relax overnight in the 16 bunk hut. Sunday, navigate difficult technical terrain to Browning Hut, about 5hrs. From there it’s about 45 mins out to Hackett Carpark, about 4pm, where we will have transport organised back to town.

Riders must have Overnight gear (example list to be published) & a reasonable quality mountainbike. Knee pads & flat pedals recommended. Riders must bring enough food for 2 lunches, 1 dinner & 1 breakfast, as well as plenty of energy foods.

Greg Smith is an experience mountainbiker, & an experienced guide. This is his 3rd year guiding these types of rides.
