77 years ago a dedicated group of orchardists in Tasman had the inspiration to acquire a pair of defunct orchards that were going to be put back into forestry. After 2 years hard labour they managed to open a tiny 6 hole golf course. Along with their clubs they carried a slasher or a grubber and slowly they developed the course week by week.
This year we celebrate their efforts with a 75th Jubilee.
There will be a weekend of golfing activities with a meal on Saturday night at Upper Moutere. As a special event we will be playing the old 9 hole course on Saturday on the Western side of the road.
Our Ex members are invited to come and join current players and enjoy this celebration either on the course or in the social activities where golfers, old and new, can share experiences.
