Celtic Pipe Band's annual Ceilidh (Scottish Party) is a fun filled evening of piping, dancing, bring you dancing shoes along and join in.
The Ceilidh is the band's major fund raiser of the year with the funds going towards uniform and equipment. The band won the NZ Grade 4A Championship this year and have been promoted to play in Grade 3. They will perform some of their new competition music plus some contemporarly pieces. Helen's Highland Dancers will perform, with ages from 3-14 some just learning and others who compete at a National Level. Everyone gets to join in for traditional Scottish Country Dancing.
There is a cash bar and raffle.
There is also a full Address to the Haggis Ceremony followed by a traditional supper of haggis, neeps and tatties.
If you have Scottish blood flowing through your veins you will enjoy this evening of lighthearted fun, good music and entertainment.
