The ZENDA Middle Eastern Belly Dancers have alot to celebrate. 21 years ago their troupe director Gretchen Howard, started dancing in Nelson. She had a solo spot belly dancing in the Wearable Art Show in 1991. She started teaching soon after that and in 1994 the ZENDA dance troupe was formed and performed in the Wearable Art Show that same year.
The ZENDA Dancers will perform some of their favourite dances from over the years and feature some new dances as well.
The audience is invited to wear Middle Eastern costumes and will have a chance to join the twelve ZENDA Dancers for a belly dance boogie and drumming after the show.
Proceeds from the evening will be donated to the Nelson SPCA.
