Your guide to events in Nelson, New Zealand
Friday 12th–Saturday 13th October 2012
Most people avoid spending time with Angus, the grubby, smelly, homeless man who wears his heart on his sleeve. But they’re missing out. Stare into his soul and find the lovely man within. Who knew this could be so much fun? Angus (Vachel Spirason) is absolutely hilarious.
Darkly funny, tragically enthusiastic, weirdly inappropriate and strangely moving, this is a story show unlike any other, with a healthy mix of comedy, dance, music, clowning and reading. Physical comedy is woven into a unique read-along experience that moves between page and stage – sitting somewhere between a live picture book and a lovingly arranged mixtape.
‘Reminiscent of a young Rowan Atkinson … A must-see for those seeking something different.’ – The Age
‘A triumph of exceptional acting, direction and production.’ – RHUM
