Your guide to events in Nelson, New Zealand

Three brothers and their childhood friends, all from Chad, make up the six virtuoso singers of H’Sao.
With amazing a cappella renditions mastered to perfection, singling them out on the World Music scene, this young talented group draws inspiration from Gospel, traditional African music and its Chadian roots. To this they add a love of soul, jazz and R&B. All the members of this Montréal afro-pop group are singer-songwriters, and elements of their various influences are smoothly blended with African rhythms to create fresh songs in a unique style.
The voices are magnificent, true and powerful. Their original compositions, their unique style, the energy on stage contagious… and let’s not forget the mesmerising numbers of African dance performed by band members. No show is ever too long for them or their audiences.
‘a refined, beautifully textured afro-pop sound’.
