English artist, Jean Jackson, emigrated to New Zealand in 2004. During her formative years, she attended Nuneaton Art School and also studied Pianoforte with the London Trinity College of Music for 10 years. After moving to East Anglia, she continued painting, selling her art in Europe. She exhibited in numerous shows such as the prestigious John Laing National exhibition. Jean was the winner for Nelson and Bays in the 2010/2011 Yellow Art Awards with her painting “ Busy Bees” which appeared on the cover of White Pages.
Jean has painted seriously for the past 29 years. Her preferred medium is oils and is selling in Australia, Europe, America and New Zealand.
