HAHN-BIN (Korea/USA)

The Nelson Arts Festival is thrilled to present dynamic violin virtuoso HAHN-BIN in his New Zealand debut performance. HAHN-BIN embodies the 21st Century of classical music, fusing his highly evocative repertoire with pop performance art in extraordinary, intelligent and beautifully layered concerts.
Since his groundbreaking Carnegie Hall debut in 2011, the 24-year-old violin phenomenon has been credited with bringing the quarantined musical genre into mainstream culture leaving audiences simply mesmerized, wildly entertained and spellbound.
HAHN-BIN brings to his performances an enigmatic flair, often personifying his musical diversity with a myriad of colourful stage personas. For his Nelson concert, Till Dawn Sunday, audiences will be treated to his latest musical manifestation, Amadeus Leopold, born July 4 2012.
