Welcome to the Godwits Celebration

Sunday 23rd September 2012

Every year, in the second week of September, the first of the godwits arrive from Alaska. To celebrate this event, the Motueka Arts Council have planned a series of art and information activities. You can be part of this celebration by taking part in the sculptures, viewing the godwits and visiting the displays.

Sunday 23 September
10.00am - 1.00pm, Church bells ring, art displays, sand and driftwood sculpture and viewing of godwits.

Wednesday 26 September
7.30pm - ornithologist, Rob Schuckard speaking on godwit research in our area.
