Midge McCleary is a Jazzy, Funky, Blues inspired guitarist.
Having been compared to the likes of ‘John Martyn’ & ‘Michael Hedges’ with a funk/blues twist, McCleary is predominantly a finger-style player on acoustic guitar using alternate tunings, percussive rhythms and funky progressions, and a bigfoot ‘stomp box’ to help provide a solid beat to drive the groove.
Known for his improvisational nature 'In Music and Life', the songs are never played the same way twice live, so you always get to hear a fresh perspective.

Having three albums to his name he has just returned from a tour of the UK, Channel Islands and France, where he wrote most of the material for his latest album 'Love Bus' which he is currently touring throughout NZ.
