Your guide to events in Nelson, New Zealand
Sunday 5th–Monday 6th August 2012
This interactive truck experience is touring New Zealand until the end of the 2012 Olympics in August. It will be stopping off at schools, towns and events along the way.
IT'S BIG
The 18-metre long truck features a range of interactive digital experiences using the latest Samsung technology and is designed to get Kiwis involved in the lead-up to the London 2012 Olympics.
GET AMONGST IT
Visit the Samsung Experience Truck and wear a replica Olympic gold medal or hold the Olympic Games torch as the crowd roars in the background. Then share images with your friends and family via Facebook.
SEE IF YOU'VE GOT WHAT IT TAKES
Take part in various games to see if you've got what it takes to be an Olympian. Alison Shanks can cycle 1km in 1 minute 8 seconds. Can you do it in 3 minutes? Give it a go.
TAKE A LOOK BACK IN TIME
Browse iconic New Zealand Olympic moments spanning more than 100 years of Olympic history using a specifically designed mobile application. Olympic memorabilia, including the shoes Peter Snell wore to train in the lead up to the 1964 Tokyo Games, will also be on display.
