Solo Spotlight has become one of the most enjoyed concerts of the Nelson Symphony Orchestra’s Series. The Solo Spotlight concert presents a succession of concerto movements chosen and performed by the soloist. Performing a concerto movement with a full symphony orchestra, without the pressure of competition, is a fantastic and rewarding experience, offered by the NSO to young aspiring concert soloists across New Zealand. Every year audiences and orchestra members are impressed by the quality and virtuosity of the performers 7.30pm taking part.
