Arts Council Nelson has been chosen to benefit from the benevolence of arguably one of Nelson’s leading arts patron Eelco Boswijk. Artworks from his private collection to be sold by silent auction to raise badly needed funds for the organisation.

The artworks were acquired through his famous Café business during the latter half of the last century, many being gifted to him by artists exhibiting at the Chez during this time. We are sure the show will stir up many memories for Nelson’s early café goers

The works are diverse and collectively form an intriguing snapshot of the time, giving the collection a nostalgic and interesting insight to the era which gave rise to Nelson’s recognition as an arts capital.
