Wild Marmalade

Saturday 11th February 2012

Wild Marmalade are a High-Energy Organic Trance, Drum and Didj band based in Byron Bay, Australia.
Playing "totally live" with ferocious intensity, they blend the ancient sounds of the didgeridoo with contemporary dance beats. Drawing on rhythms from all over the world and inspired by both indigenous sounds and the grooves of the present, Wild Marmalade's high energy shows uplift audiences with their display of powerful, joyous and infectiously danceable music.

The current configuration of Si on didge, Matt on drums and Si fixion on keys, spans many genres from tribal trance to drum n base, with influences from minimal and Dub Step, creating a unique cinematic journey experience. Wild Marmalade are celebrating a decade of playing shows internationally with the release their fourth album, Thermic Lift, which clothes this live acoustic sound with powerful yet delicately textured electronica.
