The Johnnys may be based in little old Nelson NZ but it turns out they are the worlds first all female Johnny Cash Tribute Band! However The Johnnys are not a regular tribute band but rather ‘play tribute’ to 'The Man in Black' and there's no doubt that if Johnny Cash were still alive he would love 'The Johnnys' and not because they are girls!
The Johnnys deliver Cash like no one has ever heard it before but without even a whisper of a baritone on stage. What you will hear is however is sensitive yet character filled renditions of all of the Cash classics coloured with goose bump breaking vocal harmonies, infectious undertones of the pacific and a rhythm section Johnny Cash himself would have been happy to play with! Add to that Fray’s (aka Johnny) interesting historical Cash commentary between songs and The Johnnys are a world class show, not to be missed!
