From the Maitai Dam, the route ascends towards the Dun Mountain Saddle (875m) following the south branch of the Maitai River. Taking the Coppermine Saddle track and down-hill along New Zealand’s first railway line, finishing at the Brook Waimarama Sanctuary, Brook Street, Nelson.
