Uni and her Ukelele is the winner of Best of the Bay, San Francisco's weekly digest the Bay Guardian's honor for her songwriting in 2009. This accomplished young lady has sung with Johnny Otis, and has opened for the likes of James Brown, Huey Lewis, Kids in the Hall’s Scott Thompson, Ray Charles, The Four Tops, Tower of Power, Coco Taylor, Sean Hayes and Jollie Holland, to name a few. She has toured multiple times in the States, Europe.

Meredith Axelrod delights audiences far and wide with her renditions of historic American popular songs from the 1890s through the 1930s. Genres include ragtime, jug-band, blues, pop. jazz, and ballad.
