RELAY FOR LIFE 2010

Saturday 13th–Sunday 14th March 2010

What is RELAY FOR LIFE?
Relay For Life is a magnificent, fun-filled overnight event that brings tens of thousands of New Zealanders together every year to:
 Celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer. The strength of survivors inspires others to continue the fight.
 Remember the loved ones lost to the disease.
At Relay For Life, people who walk alongside those battling cancer can grieve and find healing.
 Fight Back. We Relay because we have been touched by cancer and desperately want to put an end to the disease. We make a commitment to save lives by taking up the fight.

How it works
People from all ages and walks of life put together teams of friends, families, colleagues, sports or community groups and take on the challenge of raising FUNds to raise awareness and celebrate survivorship.

Gathering together at the overnight Relay For Life event in their area, they run the Relay to Celebrate, Remember and Fight Back, supporting the individuals and members of their community who are dealing with cancer.

Relay For Life highlights are the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, the Survivors Walk, and the Candle Light Ceremony.

What’s all the FUNdraising about?
The Cancer Society of New Zealand is a non-government organisation fund
