Godspell

“Godspell” has been described as a director’s ideal script, since it invites so many opportunities to play with style and setting, and Nelson Youth Theatre’s version is set a Christian Youth camp in Nelson in 2010, where Jesus reappears to reprise his teachings to a new generation!

These teachings are presented in a variety of styles to lift them off the page and bring them to life in a theatrical setting, and the songs employ a diverse range of musical styles including pop, folk, rock, gospel and vaudeville to further enhance Jesus’ teachings and bond the young people into a community.
