The Tineli Nelson Tour de Femme is a premier women's only road cycle tour. 2010 will be the 10 year anniversary of this event.

The philosophy of organiser Averil West, is to provide women with an opportunity to compete where tactics are dominated and determined by women, providing extra challenge, and where achievements are not overshadowed by often physically stronger male counterparts.

Averil believes that confidence of novice riders can be improved by racing alongside elite and discovering everyone is important and has a role to play. This concept has successfully brought together international, national and novice riders.

Rather than follow the more traditional racing structure of grades the Tineli Tour de Femme puts all riders together then recognises overall & age groups in final prizelists. Thus young & novice riders have a chance to line up with and learn from their heros, whilst testing themselves against the more experienced.
